Pour into lined cake tin and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the cake springs back when lightly touched in the centre. Tip: You can also use a skewer, if it comes out clean, the cake is ready. 4. Combine icing sugar and cocoa powder in a bowl. Then add softened butter and pour hot water over the top. 5. Mix together with a knife or spatula, adding more water as required to achieve a smooth, spreadable consistency. 6. Gently break up Kit Kat DARK fingers and place around the edge of the cake, pushing them into the icing. 7. With left over Kit Kat, break up into small pieces and sprinkle over top of the cake if desired, leaving space for candles if required. 8. Tie a ribbon around the cake to hold all of the Kit Kat pieces in place.
